This time I decided to ditch the white and go back to a darker shade for my site. I think this makes the portfolio pieces pop a little more. The only drawback I think is the Blog section may suffer a bit. Thinking I may automate a theme change for the day & night. Or maybe setup a preferences tab. Still debating.

New redesign, New CMS and now a new Web Analytics system! I can’t say that my previous analytics system aka (Urchin) was all that bad, But the implementation at my hosting provider Media Temple was less than desirable. Let’s just say that I have to wait 72 hours to view web statistics, 36 if I’m lucky. Also, The UI was just fugly!

Some simple tips I followed when building this site.
Size: Important Headlines and Content font sizes were increased for focus.
Color:Different tones of grey were used to emphasize key content.
Content Relationships: similar content types were grouped & displayed using similar visual styles in a clear defined area.
